DuxxBak composite decking is made from a patented blend of BioDac® (a reclaimed cellulose fiber), rice hulls and virgin high-density polyethylene (HDPE). There’s no wood filler and no PVC, which means better moisture resistance, better color retention and no risk of rot.
DuxxBak Dekk spans joists at 24” OC, and our Commercial Dekk can span 28” OC with a live load rating of 100 lbs/sq.ft. These are industry-leading span and strength ratings—ideal for residential, commercial and marine applications.
Yes—DuxxBak is made with over 50% renewable or reclaimed materials, including BioDac® (recovered cellulose) and rice hulls. No wood filler. No PVC. And it's fully recyclable at the end of life.
DuxxBak is backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty covering structural integrity, rot, mildew, termites and significant color fade.
The first 10 years are non-prorated; years 11-25 are on a straight-line depreciation. After year 25, coverage stays at that rate for life.
We currently ship to the US and Canada. Reach out through our website or contact your local dealer or distributor for a freight quote and lead time. If you're interested in bringing DuxxBak to your market, we’d love to start the conversation.
Occasional cleaning keeps your deck looking its best. Use a nylon bristle brush or broom to remove debris, and for tougher buildup, a pressure washer with a fan tip can be used—just test a small area first and keep the wand moving with the grain.
Mild household cleaners work well for stains. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive tools like wire brushes, which can damage the surface.
For ice removal: You can use salt products such as sodium chloride and calcium chloride. When the ice melts after using salt, there may be a white residue that remains on the deck. This residue can be removed with light cleaning or naturally with a rain shower.

While it may seem like a concern, clogging has never been an issue—even in places like the Carolinas, where pine needles are common. Here’s why:
Exceptionally well. DuxxBak doesn’t absorb water, won’t swell, and resists mold, mildew and rot. It’s the ideal choice for coastal decks, pool surrounds and lakefront homes.
Like all decking, DuxxBak warms up in direct sunlight, especially darker colors, which can reach 130–140°F. But thanks to its open-channel profile, it cools down faster than solid-core boards by allowing airflow beneath the surface.
Our Traction finish has also been tested to perform within 4% of the surface temps of products marketed as “cool deck” technology. Plus, it offers superior slip resistance, even in hot or wet conditions.
